2020 is merely a month away, which means that the first names for next year’s SPOT are also beginning to line up. Along with the ticket sales release (starting up on Sunday Dec. 1st) we are proud to announce the first five acts who are going to take the stage in Aarhus April 30th to May 2nd and it’s a diverse group of artists that the audience can look forward to this time.
In the pop genre, we have Danish band Blaue Blume and former-duo-now-solo project Blondage, each of whom has their individual take on today’s pop sound but with a core of personal stories, both bright and dark.
The trio from Aarhus, Athletic Progression and Norwegian-Kenyan R’n’B artist Lil Halima bring the hip hop beats to SPOT 2020. While Athletic Progression plays groovy jazz tunes with a touch of funk and hip hop, Lil Halima creates her own universe inspired by both the American hiphop/R’n’B-scene and her Kenyan heritage.
Last but not least, we have Danish punk rock trio Rebecca Lou, whose raw and hard-hitting sound sets the tone for an unforgettable concert with unpolished rock and catchy tunes delivered by lead singer Rebecca L. Armstrong.
